  • Yes, a topical anesthetic will be used prior to microneedling or injection for hair loss. Spider vein treatment is an exception. Generally the areas are to large to use a topical anesthetic and an injectable anesthetic would obscure the vessel. Most patients tolerate the procedure very well without anesthesia.
